Unable To Open Applications - Error “Bad image”


When opening couple of applications which require .Net framework, you may get error “Bad image” followed by the error code 0xC000007B.

To resolve this, you can try enabling all the dependent services of .Net framework.

To do so, go to

· Start -> type “programs and features” in the start search.

· Open the Programs and Features.

· Click Turn Windows features on or off.

· Expand or Open Microsoft .Net framework.

· Enable Windows Communication Foundation HTTP Activation.

· Enable Windows Communication Foundation Non-HTTP Activation.

· Enable XPS Viewer.

· Click Ok.

· Close the Programs and Features.

· Reboot the computer.

Try to open the programs that you had problem with,

If it still doesn’t resolve the problem then simply do Windows update, which will update the .Net framework engine.
