    Hi Bala

If its vista computer that freezes on booting to desktop

There are many instances such as 2 of them as below

    A) Computer freezes every 10 minutes and stabilize itself on cycle (freezing at regular intervals)
    B) Unable to shutdown the Computer Hangs on “Logging Off”

    Cause
    Network Location Awareness Service

The Network Location Awareness service provider, commonly referred to as NLA, enables Windows Sockets 2 applications to identify the logical network to which a Windows computer is attached. In addition, NLA enables Windows Sockets applications to identify to which physical network interface a given application has saved specific information. NLA is implemented as a generic Windows Sockets 2 Name Resolution service provider.

In order to perform this it sends a packets as broadcasts to which it would be awaiting reply back from the devices over the network if a Router or DSL modem cum router is not compactible with this broadcast it would block or would not respond to pass throught the reply and the computer would be awaiting for the reply and would hang on “Logging Off” or freeze for a moment and repeats this in a cycle

    Resolution

Before working on the computer disable the Network Location Awareness in the services

Open the services.msc, Stop it > try to work on the computer for some time

If the computer working normally without freezing at regular intervals, then it’s an issue with the Wireless Router or the wireless Cable modem cum router Contact the Router company tech support and get the router firmware updated this should resolve the issue .if not then it’s some other networking device on the local network make list of the devices on the network and find out which is pre vista era and see if you can update its firmware.
