
MS Outlook - Unable to open links
Error “This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator.”
If you get this error when you click on the link from the Outlook then you have to reset the default browser from the Internet Options (IE).
To do this simply
Open Internet Explorer
Tool -> Internet Options
Programs Tab -> Set IE as an default browser
Click Ok to close the Internet options
Restart the Outlook and check. Issue will be fixed
I am not sure about other Windows users, me personally was irritated to see the pop up “Do you want to send more informations about the problem”.As this message popped up when I am stuck when working in Windows Vista and delayed me in getting back in to same work.Then through some tech tips I came to know that we can disable the pop up . Here are the steps which I got for VISTA try the same and happy working with windows machines
- Click on START go to CONTROL PANEL-control panel home
- select SYSTEM AND MAINTENANCE and go to Problem reports and Solutions
- select CHANGE SETTINGS click on ADVANCED SETTINGS
- When the advanced settings open check the radio button OFF to For my programs, problem reporting is:

Thats how to disable the problem reporting in VISTA pop up .Hope this works for you all

This is a better product released by Microsoft last week. Comparing Beta 1 to Beta 2… Beta 2 is really good with optimum speed of browsing and comes out with some of the new features.

If you come across the situation where you are having trouble in opening media files from IE 7 then you can simply follow the steps below to resolve.
Exact error message in this scenario would be “The file you are downloading cannot be opened by the default program”
1. Click Tools from the internet explorer, go to Internet options.
2. Click Advance tab.
3. Look for “Always use Cleartype view for HTML” inside the “Settings” box.
4. Remove the check box (Disable it).
5. Click OK and close the Internet Explorer.
After doing this, your issue will be resolved and you will be able to open Media Files (Multimedia) from the Internet Explorer
